Kombos: “Schengen bölgesine katılım birinci önceliğimiz”

Avrupa İç Konular ve Göç Müsteşarı Magnus Brunner’in Güney Kıbrıs’ta olduğu ve dün Dışişleri Bakanı Konstantinos Kombos ile görüştüğü bildirildi.

Alithia’nın haberine göre Brunner-Kombos görüşmesinde güvenlik ve göç, bölgesel gelişmeler ve Güney Kıbrıs’ın bölgede oynadığı “yapıcı” rol konuları ele alındı.

Brunner-Kombos görüşmesinde, Avrupa Konuları Müsteşarı Marilena Rauna da hazır bulundu. Kombos görüşme sonrasında “X” platformundaki hesabından yaptığı paylaşımda “Schengen bölgesine katılımın Güney Kıbrıs’ın birinci önceliği olduğunu, AB’nin bu yöndeki hayati destek ve yönlendirmesinin, karşılıklı fayda ortak hedefi açısından anahtar olduğunu” kaydetti.

“Ortak Avrupa ajandasının güvenlik ve göç alanlarındaki ana konularla ilgili verimli görüşme” için Brunner’e teşekkür eden Kombos, görüşmede AB’nin Göç ve Sığınma mutabakatının uygulanması, AB’nin İç Güvenlik Stratejisi, Suriye başta olmak üzere son bölgesel gelişmeler ve Güney Kıbrıs’ın rolü üzerinde de durduklarını belirtti.
