İkinci bir “Vasiliko” için yer aranıyor

Rum yönetimi, Dikelya’daki elektrik santralinin 6 buhar türbini konusunun görüşüldüğü Avrupa Komisyonu yetkililerinin, enerji ile ilgili bütün tesisleri tek noktada (Vasiliko’da) toplanmasının sakıncasına dikkat çekmesi üzerine ikinci bir “Vasiliko” için yer arayışına girdi.

Fileleftheros’un haberine göre, Rum Şehircilik ve Konut Dairesi tarafından yapılan incelemede, ikinci bir enerji merkezi oluşturulması için 4 alternatif bölge (Kukla, Evdim, Ksilofagu ve Dikelya) belirlendi.

Daire tarafından yapılan Enerji Ticaret ve Sanayi Bakanlığı’na sunulan incelemede, alternatif bölgelerin belirlenmesinde asgarî toplam alanı 500 kilometrekare olması, koruma bölgesi, kalkınma bölgesi ve arkeolojik alan olarak belirlenen bölgelere 500 metre mesafede ve deniz kenarı olması kriterleri dikkate alındı.

Mari’deki Evangelos Florakis Deniz Üssü’nde 11 Temmuz 2011’de meydana gelen megatonluk patlamanın, hemen yakınındaki elektrik santraline zarar vermesi sonucu ülke genelinde elektrik kesintisi yaşanmış olması nedeniyle yeni tesisin askerî tesislerden de uzak olması kriterinin de gözetildiği kaydedildi.
